What Happens At The Beach…

book description

For the perfect summer romance…

It’s finally time for Natalie Dryden to decide what she really wants! After ditching her sparkling engagement ring, and her ghastly fiancé, she jets off for the sun-kissed shores of Southern France – the only place that has ever truly felt like home. For the first time ever, Natalie is determined to forget all about men and follow her dreams!

…head to the French coast!

Only, avoiding the male population isn’t quite so easy, especially when she meets smooth-talking Philippe and gorgeous fisherman, Remy! But then Natalie, quite literally, bumps into brooding millionaire Mark whilst swimming in the glittering azure-blue bay – and her life is turned upside-down.

Love might be off the cards for Natalie, yet suddenly she finds herself in her dream job and working with her dream man! But is it all too good to be true…?Goodreads

My opinion

„What Happens At The Beach…“ is my third book by T.A. Williams and my second from his „What Happens…“ series. So I know his writing style and as in the previous two books there is a touch of holiday feeling, romance and history. Williams combines these three topics perfectly well and I wasn’t disappointed when I started reading his new book. I really liked the story. I’m not that into France and the sea, but the author knows how to write a page-turner.

The characters are mostly realistic – the same goes for the story itself. I don’t know anything about the historical stuff about the Cathars, but I presume Williams did a reserach on that topic and since he lived and worked in France he probably knows what he’s writing about.

I think he is also influenced by his own life: Mark does long-distance cycling and so does the author, too. Also, in his books there are always dogs. In this one, we meet Barney, the labrador of Mark.

This book is a perfect summer read and I really think, you should read it!
